Definitely not intelligent design

During senior year in high school (circa 1994) I was obsessed with all things cool or pa-cool. One of the must have stuff I wanted to get was a Che Guevara silhouette poster. It didn’t matter that I didn’t know who he was, what mattered was that it somehow was cool to have one; much like how Manila’s punks-not-dead folks sport swastikas not knowing what it means: had Hitler been alive today all of them would be dead for not being Aryan, myself included for carrying a German family name, degenerating the gene pool. But I digress, Che Guevara at least the silhouetted poster image of him was a must have cool accessory. I had to have one or bust.

During college freshman year, I finally found the perfect Che poster. I got it for around five hundred bucks at SM North; but it meant at least a week’s worth of lunch money. I hanged it prominently at my dorm room and UP being UP, a lot of tibak dormers liked it for all the wrong reasons i bought it. heheh. Others asked if i was a wannabe communist still others wanted to recruit me into student activism. The answer was no to all of it of course since i am hardly the idealist. Which got me into thinking now, should this Busted tees poster had been made available in the 90’s, it would have been the safer and more appropriate poster for the pa-cool types like me. Lolz.
