Singapore take two

taken at little india, break-in ng d60.

Finally went back to SG after 3 years for the hotelclub APAC staff conference. my last was in 2005 with the missus, sweating at immigration since i was holding a less than 6 months to go philippine passport and fearing penalization. this time around it was hassle and stress free, no worries of deportation etc. hehe. missus wasnt with me this time though since she had last minute “worth-it-ba-to” jitters and cancelled on me; but i was with my manila officemates so it was cool.

Bugis street, mala greenhills.

nothing much has changed in clean antiseptic singapore. well maybe the giant ferri’s wheel. but aside from that one, nada. especially orchard road, parang walang tatlong taong nadagdag. Well except maybe for the JI wanted posters everywhere. I dunno if its a good thing or a bad thing na walang naiba sa lugar na to.

Graniph Tshirt Store at Bugis Junction Mall. Mala Team Manila ang logo due to use of Helvetica but the similarity ends there.

going back without the misus felt how hong kong did last year when i also went on my own. wala masyadong excitement. i admit di ako masyado napagod sa kakalakad (which is always the case when im with rosell) but travel is more fun with my life partner around.

I had the chance to buy my dream baby nikon d60 (more on my baby next post) at a discount with Jeff Mendoza’s help at the IT fair at Suntec (Timing!) but thats about the highlight of my trip. SG is the most boring of places after your first visit except for kinokuniya, electronics and the GST.
